At the utilities download site, if I download the Windows zip file, would someone (Jeff Wheeler, I did READ ME FIRST - thanks) please indicate the next command line prompts so I can have confidence I can use the source code to get moving forward? The macOS Sierra 10.12.1 Update improves the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac, and is recommended for all users. This update: Adds an automatic smart album in Photos for Depth Effect images taken on iPhone 7 Plus. Improves the compatibility of Microsoft Office when using iCloud Desktop and Documents. The operating system previously known as OS X is now called macOS and its thirteenth version, 10.12, can now be downloaded to Mac servers, desktop and laptop computers. This newest version is called macOS Sierra in line with Apple's tradition to give their operating systems' names of geographical locations in California.
At WWDC 2016 Apple announced the newest version of its Mac operating system. macOS 10.12 Sierra is the latest in a long line of OS X versions and has now been released to developers. It has also been renamed from ‘Mac OS X’ or ‘macOS’ to fit better with it’s other platform names (iOS, watchOS, tvOS). Today Apple have released the fourth beta version of macOS 10.12 Sierra to developers.
Currently macOS Sierra is only available to paying Apple developers, with a public beta coming in July. However for those of you who want to get their hands on it right now, you can do just that. You don’t need to be a paying to developer to install and use macOS Sierra DP 5. All you need is the install file and a Mac to install it on. I would however not recommend installing this as your default operating system. It is best to install it within a virtual machine or on an external drive, due to the inevitable bugs you will run into.
